it was amazing
bookshelves: animals-habitats

This is a great book to use in a unit about animals. The short sentences with rhyming words will make it an appropriate book for 2 to 3 year olds. Children might even be able to catch on to the words because of how short the sentences are. The fiction about the animals doing different dances makes it a fun and humorous experience. I could use this book for music/movement and language and literacy as well.

Extension activity: The teacher will go around asking each chid to make their own title dance by saying their name. For example, "Lisa, what dance would you do down by the cool of the pool? " The repetition will help with literacy skills and the dance they create a creative movement experience.
