it was amazing

This was such a fun, engaging read that really captured my attention. I was thoroughly entertained all the way to the end. I liked that this book and main character has a connection to Debbie’s other series (Shadow Weaver). A first in this series, this is an UF book, not a RH. The main character, Kat is a nightblood working for the Night Watch. She has a secret that very few know about and she would like to keep it that way but with the new friends she has made, deaths and a mystery unraveling she finds herself in a situation where keeping her secret may be impossible. The character development has a depth that Debbie is so good at achieving. The overall description and world building is lovely and well done. The story moves at a comfortable pace that keeps you on your toes without being too fast , but with your curiously peaked and an eagerness to know what happens next. The action, drama and suspense, and a hint of romance, is sure to keep fans of UF engaged in this book! I look forward to reading the next in this series
