did not like it

I finally finished this stupid play. I don't really see how it is an absurdist play. It was just absurd. There seems to be this overriding theory amongst scholars that Stanley had some kind of mental illness. I don't think he did. He does seem to have had some kind of trouble in his past, but his current mental break seems to be directly linked to being surrounded by complete morons. McCann and Goldberg, especially, seem to be the catalyst that sends Stanley over the edge.
