did not like it
bookshelves: audioplays, doctor-who

A tedious and overstuffed attempt to recreate the Virgin New Adventures range. Baxendale's premise of a skull being used by a religious cult is not particularly inspiring but it doesn't deserve the drab performances on offer here.

McCoy and Aldred both seem a little off in their timing and they never felt comfortable in their roles with many line readings seeming off pace and the pair lacking their usual easy rapport. Only Lisa Bowerman really seems enthusiastic but she can't rescue the script - particularly towards the end of the story when Benny is not quite herself.

Definitely not the Seventh Doctor's finest hour and an audio I'm confidence I won't be reaching for again any time soon.
