it was ok
bookshelves: 13-25

This book was about a family in the North who suffered many different effects from the Civil War. Two women arrive on one of the last ferry boats from the South. Not much is known about these women and they are not willing to tell much. But soon the war breaks out and Noah, the brother of the main character leaves to fight. The rest of the book is the brief fight they have to keep Noah alive and take him back home.

Honestly I didn't really care for this book. It was okay, but I didn't think it anything fantastic. The writing was not bad, but it seemed like any other book about the Civil War and the effects it had on people. I probably wouldn't want to pick this book up again and read it a second time.
