it was amazing
bookshelves: biography

Imminent death has a way of concentrating the mind. In Randy Pausch's case, diagnosis of a fatal disease inspired him to deliver a last lecture that will be remembered for many years as the mother of last lectures. Thanks to thousands of people have viewed his last lecture. This book covers the same material that's in the lecture plus it contains additional comments, background information and embellishments of the stories. The book is about four times as long as the lecture. Randy had a life filled with accomplishments and interesting experiences. But it was his skill as a lecturer and story teller that enabled him to make a presentation containing a contagious optimism that ends up being a pep talk for the rest of us. What a way to say goodbye!
