Those of us who enjoy words and their histories will like this book a great deal. It describes the unlikely partnership between two men who played key roles in the creation of the Oxford English Dictionary.

The author birdwalks a bit in narrating the story by deviating into areas not directly related to the two men. In my case, the deviations were actually entertaining.

Nice and easy read. A background in linguistics not required.
