really liked it

4 stars is a but high for the fluffiest of fluff, but what can I say? I really enjoyed this book. If you love Buffy then this is your book.

Truth: the paranormal *formula* is strong with this book. Lonely girl with traumatic past, dead parents, kick ass skills, and a chip on her shoulder. Snarky banter and surly hot dudes. Hate to love. It’s all here. So is the mate trope. I mean...I’m sure there are more I’m forgetting. There’s something nice about a book that just embraces the formula and seems to just have fun with it...No high drama. It reads like an episode of Buffy complete with an Angel-like character.

So, that’s this book. Looking forward to the next installment.
