it was amazing
bookshelves: dcpl_elibrary, fiction

This was really compelling. As a couple of reviews I read afterwards reminded me, it is more plot-driven than The Handmaid's Tale. It has a very small cast of characters, and interweaves some elements from the Hulu series into this story, which picks up about 15 years in the future from the end of the novel. I will say this was a bit easier to read than the first novel, so if you're hesitating on that count I don't think you should worry too much. This is not to say there isn't any violence, but rather the way it's presented, it feels a little bit distant.
