This sequel to Mrs Pettigrew Sees a Ghost sees Emily run into problems when the ghost of an elderly man latches on to her in a retirement home. Since she's understandably creeped out by the idea of the dead guy watching her every move, she starts digging up the past.

The plot moved along at a good pace with a cast of suspicious characters. In places, interactions felt a bit inconsistent. For example, I don't think everyone knows that Emily sees ghosts, but she doesn't really try to hide it from even new acquaintances.

There were also things that strained my suspension of disbelief. This might be because I'm a pathologist, and so more attuned to certain matters than regular readers. For example, (view spoiler)

Overall, a fun read, but not one that invites deep thought. And no harm in that.
