For a free or very inexpensive book, this was fine. I would definitely call it light reading, but pleasantly so. In this second in the series novel, Ivy Malone needs to leave her home because the Braxtons have vowed to kill her. This vow came due to her providing testamony in the first book, Invisible, that led one member of the Braxton clan to go to prison. The action moved along nicely and there was a nice bit of excitement, as well as a "surprise" guilty party, at the end. Ivy is likeable as a character and some of Lorena McCourtney's language is very nicely phrased. There were quite a few spots that offerred a bit of a chuckle as well. If you like mysteries, this series may be worth your time.
