it was amazing

This was such a unique and stunning book. I feel like I haven't read a book quite like this before. The mystery had so many layers, and it's rare to read a mystery that is so well composed. When I reached the end, I was both shocked and satisfied, because all the answers completely lined up, but I would have never guessed it. Though the heart of this book is the mystery and police investigation of a murder, The Silence Of Bones uses this mystery to delve into a period of history that I knew nothing about where Catholics were being persecuted in Joseon (now known as Korea). This book is also about family, class, revenge, many things wrapped up in a beautiful package. Also, I'm absolutely in love with that cover!
