This book has a very complicated plot. I obviously missed some of the character interactions since this book is part of a series about Sheriff Hacberry Holland. (Have to love that name!) I found the story to be quite violent, and while the author didn't give detailed and graphic descriptions of the violence, he gave just enough to make me queasy. The dialogue is uniquely literate for a group of drug runners, mass murderers, mercenaries, etc.
