This is my second Walter Mosley book and I really enjoyed it. The story is told from the perspective of a black detective who lives in L.A. in the early 50s. I enjoy reading about that era. Interesting to think about L.A. in earlier times.
The mystery/detective aspect of the story was good also. I was surprised by the ending and did not see it coming although at the end it all fit together very nicely.
