The book No Promises in the Wind by Irene Hunt was an okay book. It didn't make it so I couldn't put it down, but I didn't hate reading it either. It was a very sad book, so, for that reason, I didn't particularly like reading it; it made me kind of sad. These three children run away because this one boys mother and father don't want him in the house anymore and they try to live on their own. This idea works for a little while, but things start going wrong for Josh and company very quickly. After all, the Great Depression didn't really work out for most people. As things were getting worse for the kids, I became progressively more sad because when I read I become very involved with the characters. For the next historical fiction book I read, I think I'll pick a happier one, if possible.
