It's My School by Sally Grindley, illustrated by Margaret Chamberlain, is the story of Tom's anger over having to share his school with little sister Alice, who's starting Kindergarten.

Chamberlain's illustrations match this story well. I enjoyed the clear facial expressions, including a few on Teddy's face. My favorite pictures are the cover, Alice's kiss, and the final image.

Grindley does a fine job telling this story of sibling rivalry and family bonds. The father is portrayed trying to keep the peace and make both children feel good about themselves. This is a good choice to read to siblings to help ease the transistion of going to the same primary school. Recomended for school and public library collections.

For ages 4 to 7, school, family, feelings, sibling-rivalry, brother & sisters, teddy bears, favorite stuffed-animals, and fans of Sally Grindley and Margaret Chamberlain.
