really liked it
bookshelves: children-s
Recommended for: tweens
Read in August, 2008

Another graphic novel for reluctant readers, probably males, in the tween age bracket. Arthur King is the new kid at Camelot Middle School and not only does he have to fit in, but even after he opens the locker (Excalibur) he can't rule the school until he wins a dodgeball game against the Horde.

It may get them to read King Arthur, although it also has some allusions to MacBeth with the 3 lunch ladies. Either way, it's a quick, fun adventure.

Charuga Ohh thanks, will have to try that out on Logan - my personal reluctant reader. : )

Cathy You can borrow mine. I'm also starting to have a section on my school blog for family literacy ideas.
