it was amazing

Max Boot illustrates the potential for "neoconservative intellectual" to not be an oxymoron. Although I disagree with some of his conclusions (especially his recommendations for future policies), his detailed research into the grossly under-explored area of American participation in "small wars" ("imperial wars" according to Andrew Bacevich) is great. As America tries to remove itself from the Middle East, this book provides useful context and tremendous background for understanding the real "American Way."
