it was amazing

This is the third in the Cat in the Stacks Mystery series, and I liked it the best of the three. First let me say I love the cat, Diesel. I've never seen a Maine coon cat, but I think I'd know one if I saw one thanks to the author's descriptions.

This mystery seemed to me to be the most involved of the series, so far. While the other two books were excellent, I found the plot in this one a little more puzzling than the first two. The characters were well-written and stayed in character. While there are romantic elements in this book, in particular, they don't really qualify as a sub-plot. Which is fine. Sometimes, people just love people without drama.

The author does a wonderful job of setting the scenes. The small college town in Mississippi is well-written and the main character's house, office, and his girlfriend's bakery are charming and homey.

I love this series and look forward to the next entry.
