it was amazing
bookshelves: best-books

I seriously, really enjoyed this book!

I've had so many people tell me to read it and finally had a minute to read, so I went for it. I'm so glad I did. The pacing was perfect, the dialogue was very believable and flowing, the Reese family is awesome! I loved them. The thought of having that many boys in one family (I have 2 of my own) makes me cringe, but they were an awesome family. I love it when books have good family values. And even all the crap that her mom did, whether is was warranted or not, she still loved and respected her and that was awesome, too.

And Garret. I loved him. I saw a couple other people say that they didn't like how he sat and watched all that stuff happen to her before, but he didn't know her. Once you understand the rules of their 'people' and everything, I really don't see how you can think badly of him. Especially at the lengths he goes to, once he does introduce himself, to rectify it all. He was a sweetheart and a half and I loved him.

I loved the heart wrenching moments. The look at school bullying is something I've written about myself and really appreciate when an author can put a message in her book. This poor girl.... The bad girl was so bad, the good guy was so good, the mom was so motherly and the girl was absolutely likable and lovable. I want to go to her high school and befriend her and ask her to introduce me to the oldest Reese boy, Sean. *wink*

Loved it!

5 swooning, aching, anxious stars from me!
