it was ok
bookshelves: 2019-shelf, format-audible

This book should've been amazing - gorgeous writing. a little (in some places a LOT) of magic. lost love. multiple timelines. stories within stories.

and the first 300 pages were 5(plus) stars - WOW! I was totally enthralled.

but then the wheels just kind of came off. I lost the thread of what was happening. The "magic" got crazy (a huge white rabbit? a terrifying flock of owls?) I couldn't tell what was real anymore and not in a good way. and then it was over.

If it weren't Erin Morgenstern, I would've abandoned the book. Maybe I'd like it better if someone could explain those last 100 pages to me?!
