really liked it
bookshelves: mystery

This book got fairly terrible reviews. They stopped me from buying the gook, which I originally wanted to do. Pride and Prejudice and author P. D. James; this had to be good, right? However the reviews said otherwise. I let it go. However, I came upon it in the local library and figured, why not. I won't be out any money if it's bad.

I actually enjoyed this, though. Not great literature, but still good. I found it a thoughtful book, getting insights into Darcy and Liz's thoughts about their marriage and turbulent past, as the perennial bad boy, Wickham, reeks havoc in their lives once again. I found it fairly true to the characters - at least, how I have become to think of them.

I'm glad I read it.
