it was amazing

I really enjoyed this one! The author sets out to crack the world of competitive memory (brain athletes! Who knew!) and we learn a ton about memory in the process. A good memory is not just a God given gift--but often the result of training and specific techniques. Of particular interest to me were the discussions about the relevance of memory in an age where we are loaded with personal external memory devices (Who remembers phone numbers anymore because they are stored in your phone) and also the importance of memory in education. Great highly-readable thought-provoking stuff.
