Death Comes to Pemberly is charming and engaging story that continues after Pride and Prejudice ends. You are introduced to the comfortable life that Elizabeth is living as the lady of Pemberly. The peace is shattered by her estranged sister, Lydia arriving at her door the evening before the grand ball that takes place every fall. What follows is a murder mystery, in which Lt. George Wickham was accused of murdering his long time friend. The story unfolds with twists and turns, yet remains faithful to the characters Jane Austin created.

Pmalcpoet Pat Malcolm Carol, I just finished this book as well, and thought PD James did a great job of preserving the feel of the original characters and settings. Apart from that it was a good period mystery, and I enjoyed it!

Carol It was obvious that PD James had lots of fun writing this story!
