really liked it

As far as white nationalist fiction goes, it’s alright. It’s been done before and done better than this. My main issue is there’s no nuance to it. The main characters all go from normal, everyday people to carrying out terrorist attacks in the blink of an eye. It definitely borders on murder porn and I don’t even think that makes it an inherently bad book; but can we get a little bit of character development? A story arch? Shouldn’t at least one of the protagonists struggle with their conscience when they start taking out civilian targets including women and children?

Speaking of the murders, it seems like every time someone gets killed the author makes sure to specify that they were a pedophile so the reader doesn’t accidentally feel any sympathy for them. It worked the first time or two but he definitely went to that well way too often. He also could have benefited greatly from an editor or even just someone to proofread. I’m not an English major or anything but I picked up on quite a few grammatical errors.

Despite all of its faults I’m still giving it four stars just for pure entertainment value. I read the entire thing in a day. That’s partly because it’s really short (he could and should have made it about twice as long and added in more character development) But it’s also because it was fascinating. I couldn’t put it down. I’ll definitely pick up part 2 if/when it ever comes out. All of the characters transformed into ruthless killers in a heartbeat but there are still plenty of interesting paths he could take the story in the post-collapse society.
