This short story is part of The Unquiet, which i did not read in its entirety; I read only Chaos in Death . As there is no individual listing for the story, I decided to add my rating to the audio version even though I read rather than listened to the story. It was fine as far as procedurals go, but the other aspects seemed phoned in, as though the author had a checklist of secondary and tertiary characters she needed to find a way to include. Sigh.

Jane I would give this one 2 stars as well. Written by the numbers and I thought the explanation for the killer was pretty ridiculous. It felt like she went with that resolution just to fit in the anthology - but it just wasn't rational, and I usually give her a lot of leeway on the advances that have been made.
