This is the second book by Sarah Dessen that I have read, and I LOVE HER books. She reminds me of a more contemporary Judy Blume, whose books I devoured when I was younger. Dessen does a great job with character development, and you get swept up within the first page that reads, "It's funny how one summer can change everything," and continues on with, "The day my father got remarried, my mother was up at six A.M. defrosting the refrigerator." This is the story of sister relationships, dealing with divorce, coming to terms with false perceptions, and finding one's place as a fifteen year old going through some rough times.
