As easy as... This is a fast and deliciously entertaining read. Imagine small-town America in the 1950s, when a housewife's prowess at baking pies ("the perfect crust") could make her a community celebrity. Assuming that America really did exist, this book shows what it was like to be young, have obtuse parents, and grieve your pie-baking aunt while trying to solve a mystery. A pleasant slice of life from "back in the day."
