I was totally transported
A 4.7 for me. I felt like I was actually a part of Old Hollywood. I could picture exactly how the characters looked and what their voices sounded like. I loved the character development and interactions. I loved the honesty and the grit. I loved how the author made sure we wouldn’t “pity” Evelyn. Nope- Evelyn owned all of her choices. But that doesn’t mean that I wasn’t devastated for her in the end. I wanted a little more from Monique. I will definitely be thinking of this book for a long time. A great read!
