it was amazing

I loved this one even more than I loved book 3, which I also gave 5 stars. I love how Holden continues to be mixed up (which anyone would be considering what he’s been through) and I loved the premise of this one and how it was a bit like a giant disaster movie in space.

Spoilers for anyone who hasn’t read book 3.

The opening of the rings at the end of book 3, has opened up whole solar systems to humanity, so of course they’re going to fight over it. The first habitable planet they find has squatters/settlers and one of the evil mega corps that inhabit the Expanse world, isn’t happy. Holden and the crew are sent in to mediate, things of course go wrong. There’s tense action both on the planet and in orbit, dangerous alien fauna, alien artefacts and disaster, I loved it.
