it was amazing
Read 2 times. Last read August 8, 2019 to August 11, 2019.

The story of Anna, who in 1999 returns to Italy to unravel the secrets of her mother’s past, is a thoroughly enjoyable listen, which both moved and engaged me from the off. It authentically captures the times and places in which it’s set and serves as an important reminder the French were not the only ones with a resistance fighting Fascism in WW2. Strongly recommended.
