liked it

This book started as classic "chick-lit", about a group of college friends, now in their early thirties. It has the classic elements such as singletons finding romance and attempts to follow their dreams. It takes kind of a strange and serious turn towards the latter third of the book involving a health crisis of one of the friends. At first I was irritated by this as I wanted something escapist but I actually liked the way it was handled so much that I found it kind of inspiring. Some of the twists were a little over the top, although amusing. For some reason I really liked this book and thought it had a lot of heart. And don't worry...happy endings all around!
