it was amazing

I can't believe how great this book was! It's very difficult to describe the eerie (sort of Twin Peaks 'esque) vibe of the book that kind of lingers underneath all the time, but I loved the hell out of it. It's got a ton of my favourite things in one neat package: music themes, strange rock bands, missing teens, non-traditional main characters who are flawed and real, true crime-references (Elisa Lam, anyone?), cryptic messages, vinyl backmasking and supernatural elements. And an actual jump scare! In a book! I read this as an e-book, and I had no idea there would be illustrations in there. And when the first one suddenly appeared on the screen in the middle of a super creepy scene, I actually jumped on my seat like I was watching a horror movie. I'm giving the author really high marks for that. :D

If you love the things I listed, and want to experience a unique horror-mystery-awesomeness-experience, Osgood as Gone is a book for you.
