really liked it

I appreciated the development of Jocelyn’s character, because the escalation of her negative self talk over the course of the novel is totally believable. There are likely many teens out there who have no idea that they’re dealing with anxiety or depression, and this novel will help them to recognize how their thinking is similar to Jocelyn’s or Will’s. Another element to appreciate was the ways in which anxiety and the overthinking that comes along with it can paralyze us. As a reader who has autoimmune thyroiditis, which is linked to depression and anxiety, I found the characters’ thinking to be authentic and quite believable.
