really liked it

** spoiler alert ** Enjoyed reading about knots, made me think of RD laing also. First trip with Murakami.
"knots. All postcranial gray gorilla lesions had vanished... Knots? I queried myself in the midst of the chaos. I brought the words softly to my lips: you have but to seek and the Sheep Man shall connect... All sorts of things were connected. some connections led to confusion, he'd said." p 95

"Because I lost track of what I wanted. So were all my ties meaningless? "
"Unravel, then bind all together"

So many things are tangled and connected within the book but at the same time there is always something that is disembodied that leaves an omnipresent sense of mystery. The messages are really interesting and I love how reality is always questionable...ties with laing again.
