really liked it

This is a well-written book about some seriously unlikeable people in a small southern town.

I loved the way the story unfolded. It was a beautifully done piece of narrative.

Beyond that, the setting and characters were oppressive and I was eager to be done with the book so I could be paroled from that turgid universe.
