really liked it

Adventure stories are supposed to have momentum to them; this one did. I was wanting to see how this plot maneuvered. I was not disappointed.

I have heard of Treasure Island all my life. I am familiar with Long John Silver, "Fifteen men on a dead man's chest, Yo ho ho and a bottle of rum ", etc. but had never read this nor seen it. I guess enough has oozed into mainstream media for me to know. After having read this, I don't know why the fast-food fish place used Long John Silver as its name. ;)

Fun and fast-paced. I see a lot of folks recommend this for children. Perhaps, although I think the language is too far astray for most these days, unless we are talking high schoolers.

I found the narration quite interesting in its first person account. I think Ben was not treated to a fair share properly. I think I would have left LJS on the island, but I suppose it doesn't much matter.

Fun read!
