Riveting. Dianne was only fourteen years old when she took up with Manson and his Family. When you see stories of how people get involved in cults, you wonder how they found their way in. Dianne tells her story from the beginning, and her hippie, absent parents were a definite contribution to her reasoning that led her to join up with Manson's band of other troubled women.

The murders don't figure as largely in her story, as she wasn't present for them, but it still shows how fully indoctrinated they all were and the struggle she had to break free of this absolutely mad con artist's grip.
