Honestly a 3.5 star rating is more honest than a 3.

The book is a worthwhile read. It's a self-help book that will not smother you with kind words, telling you everything will be all right just because.

Contains a few historical facts. I appreciate him quoting and referencing intellectuals such as Goethe, Nietzsche, Freud, Jung and such.

This book contains a handful of personal experiences that support his set of rules for life, which are highly appreciated.

The reason I can not give this book a 5-star rating though, is because about 65% of the book feels like a bible study session. If this book was to be advertised as "Let's study human interaction in Biblical stories and talk about them" then that would be a more honest approach. But DR. Peterson is dogmatically stating those stories as facts of life. He attempts to speak as if coming from neutral ground after this reading it is extremely evident that this is not case. I understand that a lot of people won't even pick this is up if were labeled as a bible studies book. But coming from a man who preachers on how important being truthful is, i'm disappointed and let down.

Sorry. Good read none-the-less. Helpful.

A lot of personal stories to back up his personal claims as to how one should live life. Excellent information to brainstorm on. Doesn't instill 100% confidence for me."
