really liked it

A solid Rebus story. Good insights into Rebus and Sammy. Somehow made me feel a bit sad for Rebus and this slowed down my reading. As always- a good detective story, gritty, and filled with the emotional push and pull- being a good detective means Rebus is too involved in chasing down criminals and putting things right to focus fully on those who love him.
