it was amazing

I spose I’m a little late to the party, but luckily I came in just in time for right before the movie release, so that I’m able to compare both and still have them fresh in my mind. I like that I’m at a point in my life where I can read books of almost any genre and age group and still enjoy them, probably more than when I was at the age for which they were designed. For a sci-fi/fantasy young adult novel, Suzanne Collins does a fantastic job of captivating you from the first page and introducing you to addicting characters you can’t seem to let go of (as evidenced by the fact that I left early for work to buy Catching Fire and Mockingjay for $19 a piece the morning after I finished Hunger Games). I would have given this a 4.5 if I could have (attention Goodreads staff, add a .5 star option), but since I couldn’t, I rounded up because I really did enjoy the way this book read and how attached you become to the story as a whole. My one real complaint with the book was that it was fairly predictable, and since it was, I wish Collins had used some different tools to further the plotline instead of some of the simple ones or copouts that she took. Aside from that, I definitely recommend the book to almost anyone, I’m sure you were waiting for my recommendation specifically, and I cannnnnnnnnnnot wait until the film comes out. Thankfully with Harry Potter officially over and Twilight almost dead and buried, I now have another, albeit short, series to read/watch/obsess over.
