it was amazing

A magnificent book that teaches you three things. One, people are people no matter what. Two, if you want to see a better world, look through two pairs of eyes. Finally, a friend is a friend no matter how long you're together.

Meriwether and other characters give you sense of what 1942 and after was like. This story tells from two sides white and black both with a story to uncover about Birdsong, USA

There are many twists and turns. 12 year old Gabriel gets a new bike for his birthday. Riding down the street he has a closes encounter with death but is pushed out of the by a man called Meriwether. Together they share many experiences and keep a secret that could be fatal if herd by the wrong people.

This is an amazing book that enhances emotions to the max. This piece of art teaches about social issues in a way that is family friendly. For a book about racism and a boy who almost gets hit by a car, it brings humor and relates to many audiences no matter what century you're from.
