This is the first book I've read of the amazing author, Stephen King. It was the scariest vampire story I've ever read. The characters were well developed and the Marsten House is like a modern version of Dracula's Castle. This is classic vampire fiction. I'm definately going to read more books by Stephen King.

Werner King revisited this setting in a sequel story, "One for the Road," which is a finely-wrought piece of vampire fiction in the traditional mode (in which any human who becomes a vampire automatically becomes an evil predator whose human ties and morals are erased). You can read it in the collection Young Monsters (see my review).

Dylan Cool, I'll check that out. Thanks!

Kristen It's also in one of his later short story collections... though I can't recall which one... Nightmares and Dreamscapes maybe?

Dylan Jeruselum's Lot? Is that what you're thinking of?
