really liked it
bookshelves: scifi

Ethan of Athos is particularly interesting in that it postulates a functioning all-male society that isn't a military state or a complete disaster. The book doesn't spend all that much time there, and the title character's subsequent wibbling every time he encounters a female gets old long before it gets dropped, but it's still a neat concept.

It's only tangentially a Miles Vorkosigan book - Miles never actually shows up - but it's very much in that spirit.
