2.0 out of 5 stars Avoid this one..."or else"

I am a fan of medical suspense thrillers. I can't help myself, I try to read everything that's written. I wish I had skipped this one and now dread having to read and review the sequel,Chronic Fear, for amazon vine.

The premise: a crazed scientist has developed two drugs and is in cahoots with a pharmaceutical company, the CIA, a US senator, and other various nefarious organizations and people who are determined to use the illegally tested drugs for power and money. The drugs: Halcyon and Seethe. One to make a person rage and the other to calm and help forget. Better living through chemicals?

The characters in the novel are cardboard stereotypes of good and evil. The dialog is full of cliches, and the descriptions range from ridiculous to lame using way too many metaphors and similes throughout.

After a point, I did not care who lived or died and just wanted it to be over. Too bad the Monkey House didn't burn to the ground along with every character in the book. I suggest you skip it.
