Her One Mistake

Child abduction stories have been written by many but to write it in such a way to capture a reader's attention and present it in a whole new light is impressive. Her One Mistake is a story that captures the emotional upheaval not when you lose your own child but a friend's child who was in your care. The guilt and torment associated with it was harrowing to read.
The story moves thru Charlotte and Harriet's POV's and also diary entries from Harriet that focuses on her pain called life. It is easy to see the direction of the story as it progresses but even then there's so much going on to keep the pages flying. The double ending was a surprise, I kind of expected the end with the mystery solved but then to show the effects of trauma on Charlotte and Harriet was touching.
Brilliantly conceived plot!
