really liked it
bookshelves: non-fiction, mystery-suspense

I don't read much true crime, but the author had a really thoughtful, kind approach to telling these stories. he put the focus on the victims and this was quite moving. Some cases stuck with me more than others, but all in all, it's definitely a worthwhile read, especially if you were as gripped as I was by I'll Be Gone in the Dark by Billy Jensen's late friend Michelle McNamara.

Ivonne Rovira Funny, I read a lot of mysteries, but, like you, I don't read true-crime novels.

There's something very macabre for me about reading true crime, but this one was done well.
