this book was enthralling and captivating. the premise immediately caught my attention – a gene is discovered that links two people in the world, and you can find your match y paying a small fee to a matching service online (it's like a blend of tinder + 23andme). this book follows different characters and how they meet their "match", but it quickly turns into a thriller. my main complaint with this book is that each chapter was too short. as soon as I became invested in a story, it cut and went onto the next one. secondly, I found it predictable and eye-rollingly cheesy at times – not in terms of the romance, but in how some stories were wrapped up just a little too neatly. either way, I enjoyed the idea of this book and the fast-paced storytelling.
