really liked it

This was my first book of Julie Spencer’s. I enjoyed it. I liked the religious aspect of the book. Ian Taylor struggles with living and working in an environment not suitable for his standards. He takes center stage to observing his friends make poor choices from woman to drugs. And when he decides to put the band on hold for a couple years to serve a mission his band mates don’t support him but don’t leave the band either. There is a hint of a romance with a couple of different girls. He doesn’t find his HEA in this book but there is a whole series to lol forward to after this book. I listened to this on Audible. I liked the narrator. I don’t always likes male narrator but I enjoyed his voice. He stumbled on words occasionally would be my only comment.
