I liked this one and I didn't. At the center of this is a love story. Which, admittedly, I'm not that interested in. I find fae very interesting and I loved Rogerson's take on the fae world. With glamour being used to cover how they look and a young woman who can see past it to paint pictures. The world was so rich and I could have had a longer book for that reason alone. Yet, the story was, at its heart, romance. And I'm not into romance. I never really got attached to Rook or Isobel no matter how much I tried. This is one of those books I might try to read again at some point, but, right now, it was pretty average. Rogerson's a great author with rich worlds, but the romance in this took the place of a plot.
